Welll...Sunday we are having smoked ribs and all the fixin's, my sister is cooking on Christmas Eve so I won't have to, and I'll put a copy of our Christmas Dinner menu at the bottom of this post. We plan on going to the Tulsa Zoo one day...on Polar Bear Days you get in for half price. On Christmas morning we open gifts, have a big pancake breakfast, and then lounge around and play games all day until time for dinner.
This Christmas vacation will have several work days scheduled in, as our yard is still full of tree limbs and branches from the ice storm.

how much are you spending?

My Christmas budget is set at $1500.00 (+ some extra grocery money for the week of Christmas) I've done pretty good so far, I haven't gone over, and I haven't bought anything on credit. I love the fact that when January rolls around, we have no Christmas Debts.
3 gifts per kid, plus stocking stuffers. 1 small gift each for the adults in attendance. A bigger gift for Jeff and my Mother. Gifts that I mailed for all my nieces and nephews. 1 gift each for the kids in my Sunday School class. I spent about $100 on decorations, and I did use part of the budget to buy a 9 ft. pre-lit tree. (I'm tired of cleaning up after real trees.) All that, and I still have a LITTLE bit of money left!!!! All I have to say is: TUESDAY MORNING ROCKS!!!!!
The kids also have to take about a month's worth of allowance and buy a small gift for every person that will be here on Christmas day. They have the opportunity to earn extra for Christmas by doing certain jobs around the house.
We don't do electronics for Christmas gifts. Jeff buys games, mp3 players, etc., as he gets the money in his paypal account, so it wouldn't make sense to spend the kids' Christmas money on that.
