Well, it's like I explained to my wife:

Once I was a hunk, now I am a chunk.

I like Bro. Riggen's response for weight loss better than yours.

Organization...fellowship...does it matter? I have told other pastors the following:

If folks are not happy at your church and want to leave, what is the point of trying to hold them? Silly, if you ask me. You hold on to someone who is unhappy, and that unhappiness will fester and soon the whole church will be infected.

Now, I do not view the men in question as an infection, and if any one feels I believe that, you are dead wrong. But if they feel their convictions indeed are sending them apart from their current fellowship, I say godspeed. I would be dissapointed in them if after all the time they have spent being them, they then decided their convictions were not important enough to be listened to.

For example, as I understand it, Bro. Riggen has left the UPCI. In my personal estimation, that is a loss for the UPCI. However, he is being consistent with what he believes. If he had not have stood up for that, I would have been gravely dissapointed. I disagree with him on one key issue that I know of, but UPC or not, he is still my brother. IF he will have me.
