If a person refuses to wash feet yes they will be lost. You cannot refuse to obey Jesus and be saved. It was a direct command.

If, for whatever reason, you feel uncomfortable in participating, then perhaps you should refrain. There is no Scriptural basis for setting a certain day for its observance, though many churches observe Communion/Foot Washing at the first of the year (perhaps to "get the year off right).

Respectfully Elder, Jesus told the disciples in Jn 13:15 I have given you an example

He had asked them in vs 12 Do you know aht I have done to you?

The obvious answer was that he had washed their feet, but that was ONLY an example they in that culture could relate to. his lesson was deeper that.

The lesson he was teaching is that the greater should serve the lessor in all things, not just a mere washing of the feet that was practiced by most in that era, but to always be in humble submission to our brothers.

Jesus taught in parables, EXAMPLES. He did this to get his point across.

His washing of the disciples feet was just that, an example as vs 15 states.

If you think he was making a custom of that time, a binding sacrament of the church, I think you have missed the object lesson Jesus gave the disciples recorded in John 13.

Hope maybe some day you might see the lesson there. Because I think that binding things upon NT Christians as salvational that are not salvational will get you in a bit of trouble when we all give a reckoning.

4) Observe standards (even the long sleeved ones)
5) Wash feet
6) Observe communion
7) Believe in One God

4) Attend church EVERY SERVICE
5) Women, DO NOT preach
6) ...and don't cut your hair
7) Obey EVERYTHING your pastor tells you
8) Attend a CONSERVATIVE Apostolic Church
9) Do not own, watch or even glimpse at a TV
...and thou shalt be saved.

Well for a little lesson:
Mt.28:20 "Teaching them to OBSERVE ALL things I have commanded..."
Mt. 7:24-27....therefor whosoever heareth these sayings of mine and DOETH them, I will liken him unto a wise man...........and everyone that heareth these sayings of mine and DOETH THEM NOT I will liken him unto a foolish man.
1Tim. 6:3....if any man teach other wise and consent NOT to the wholesome WORDS OF OUR LORD JESUS CHRIST......he is proud, knowing nothing.
Jn. 13:4-17 just the highlights:
Jesus takes literal water in a literal pan and literally washes the disciples literal feet.
Tells Peter if he does not wash his feet 'thou hast NO part with me'
v.12..................KNOW ye what I have done unto you?
v. 13 Ye call me Lord and Master and ye say well for so I am.
v.14 If I then be your Lord and master have washed your feet ye ALSO OUGHT to wash one another's feet.
15. I have given you an EXAMPLE that ye should DO as I have DONE to you.
v.17 If ye know these things happy are ye if ye DO them.
Your choice. Be foolish if you want to I will be wise and DO what Jesus DID and commanded.
