Well, then why in the world are there churches worried about TV when they have junk like that right under their noses?

They need to start an organization for sure - organize against these laws passing!

This brings back the words of Pat (The Socialist) Buchanan

"Beware of Peasants with Pitchforks!"

To be fair it is not just the mainstream Apostolics which are not involved, the article pointed out only ONE church in ALL of California had faxed the Governor’s office.

Perhaps part of the blame should be with the “religious right”, who have falsely cried Wolf one too many times. I spend an inordinate amount of time trying to get organizations in whose cause I believe to stop attempting to spread panic and misinformation.

For example, several of them attempted to state the federal Hate Speech Bill would affect what ministers can say from the pulpit. While I oppose this legislation on other grounds this is blatant misrepresentation and is in the long run counterproductive.

In this case however, some of the worst aspects of bills are unbelievable and unheralded.

For example, a male student could tell his teacher he wanted to dress and be addressed as a female at school and the teacher would have no choice but to do so, and would be forced to address him as a male and hide his conduct from the parents if so ordered BY THE CHILD.

There could be co-ed restrooms and locker rooms in high schools.

A girl could be expelled for bringing a single Midol to school, but could get an abortion without parent’s knowledge much less consent.

The language reads a neutral; no lifestyle is to be promoted language. This actually means that what society (at least for now) by and large holds to be normal, a nuclear family, with hetero-sexual parents CANNOT be promoted because that would be showing a preference.

But these issues should rightly take a back seat to the mud slinging, Jerry Springer mentality the church has been exhibiting lately, right?

Those who truly know me, my work, and my writings will probably be shocked by this posting, I rarely post in the first person, and oppose being associated with anything resembling a rant. However, these are extraordinary times.

It is a sad day to see what should is potentially the most powerful force for positive change in the world reduced to this.

It makes me simultaneously ill, angry, and anguished that Men of God could so easily lose sight of that which is above all. It’s all about Him, and Love Covers.

But that might require having to share a platform with a "gasp" Trinitarian or something. And I have noticed how much guilt by association seems to be rampant.

Apparently getting specks out of each others eyes are more important than a world going to hell.

Who cares that these perversions could actually be stopped, when there is mud to sling and truly weighty issues such the best, most painful way to withdraw fellowship from those who use the wrong technology to evangelize!!

Focus On The Family used to be based in The Land of Fruits and Nuts, but moved to Colorado due to the tax and moral conditions here.

Why does one have to be a "conservative" to speak against same-sex evils taught in schools?

They are no doubt too busy with making reservations and calling friends to be concerned with such "worldly" matters.
