Hey my brother! Really tolerance is found in true christians. I know you were just joking.
Tolerance: Is a God given quality and best seen through the life of Jesus Christ. while some may understand tolerance as agreeing with anything I do not think tolerance among us is that. Tolerance also is patience, sufferance, forbearance; liberality, impartiality, open-mindedness.

By the use of emotional rhetoric one may think he or she can sway opinion to their cause, but it only lasts until the next individual comes along with a better tear jerker, or urban legend to send the puzzled student off on the next rabbit trail.

Logic and reason go a long way, it's sad how some might say they use it, but in practice they're constantly using emotional rhetoric.

Call the Holy Day what it really is, a Roman Catholic feast day borrowed from Persian Mithraites.

I know, Sis. and you are correct, I was joking.

It seems that in many cases, tolerance is seen as compromise, that's why I made reference to it being a "liberal" trait.

Many people misinterpret their intolerance as holiness. I agree that on some issues there is no room for tolerance, but on others, there must be if we are to truly be pleasing to God.

I believe it was Augustine who said, "In essentials, let us have unity - in non-essentials, let us have liberty - but in ALL things, let us have charity"

Hey this argument goes waaaaaaaaay back..even the Puritans had a problem with holidays not found to have scriptural backing..and they refused to partake., AND were persecuted for it., this is but one of the reasons they decided to LEAVE..
and come to America [(land of the free(?)]
Some things never change., yet true tolerance must be projected if we are to all live in "peace".
