I very seldom listen to anything but gospel music. Generally contemporary gospel.
But... every great once in a while the notion hits me and I will go over to youtube and take in some John Mayer.
I really like John Mayer.
First... he is just plain talented. No getting around that.
I think what I like most though is that he was this total geek. He was a nobody in high school. A true geek. People that went to school with him say.. What? That's John Mayer?
Nobody even knew he could play the guitar.

I agree, John Mayer is amazing, right now in my car I have a rotation going of John Mayer, and Jonny Lang. Mayers newest album is brilliant.
