No, I made the second statement as it pertains to those in my community. I have lived elsewhere, including the Bible belt area and what I said in no way would pertain to those people. I'm not that dumb!

Where I live, me wearing a skirt and having long hair DOES NOT identify me with being Apostolic, but rather, with the local cult group. The church here has been UPC for 40 years and we are lucky to have 40 people in church on Sunday mornings.
Why? Because people around here think the church is part of the cult group!!
No, that's not why I don't 'follow the standards', but what you said above doesn't apply to these parts.
I think it's obvious to those reading my posts that I am speaking of how what I said pertains to only this area and not as a blanket statement around the globe.

Upon coming across this thread about weight..I almost fell out!! First of all from Mr. Skinny himself..but enough said about my friend (yes, you are the best! and will be missed! It is to bad, because I just started checking the forum out) While at work listening to Dr. L.S. a caller called in complaining about his wife being over weight..and that he was worried because she has the chance of being over weight. Dr. L. S. asked the caller how tall is his wife, he stated his wife was 5'11 and then Dr. L. asked him well how much does she weigh? He in turn said 160 lbs. I started laughing! Dr. L. stated that she was at the correct weight for her height..the caller was not satisfied with this and was still not happy..Dr. L. told him that when he is dying who is going to be the one there for him and love him...or when he has a big gut and is bald...she will!!! Grow up sir! Look in the mirror! after mother laura railed him..he had nothing to say
