Perception is NOT Perfection...

Steadfast recently posted an Excellent Post about Relevance... and reading thru the posts (including my post) each seemed to answer from their perception of what he had written, and Steadfast acknowdged it...

What I find interesting is the word perception (used daily, yet left unsaid) is many times redefined as our opinions...

Perception according to Websters is physical sensation interpreted in the light of experience. It is more than just words but we interpret it by what has touched our life. It becomes much more intimate in our deliberating of what was said.

We often turn perfect our perceptions without thinking we could be wrong.

I often say and try to remember when talking with folks is there is TWO Sides to every story... often we only hear one side and percieve it truth..turning our perception (right or wrong) into our opinion... and we base Truth on our opinions..

Many times only to hear the other side of the story thereby changing the entire landscape of what we "perceived" to be correct...

I think that when we become "Religious" we do this too...We Trust our Perceptions more than Knowledge itself and when called on what we "believe" we deflect or reject questions because we never took the time to attain Knowledge instead of just our perceptions.

A Good anology would be Satan in the Garden of Eden changed Eve's Perception concerning the Tree of Knowledge of Good & Evil. She based fact from her perception of fiction without going to the source and was decieved...

From now on I will do my best to not let my perceptions become my opinions without first ascertaining fact instead of accepting fiction and being decieved while deceiving others also...

Not allowing Perception to become Perfection... and losing one of my Greatest Possessions; Truth...

just some thoughts...

Randy

Good word, rev...

It has been said re two sides to every story that there is the other person's side, and then there is the truth. As those professing and possessing, it behooves us to reach for God's side of a matter and give folks the consideration we would like to receive.

Just my hurried thoughts...
