This was taped in 2000 and aired in 2001 on CBC. I got my sister to tape it for me.
Ric Mercer had a program called This Hour Has Twenty Minutes which satirizes
modern culture.
Most Canadians for the most part feel that a "majority" of Americans know absolutely nothing about Canada.
Ric Mercer traveled throughout America and asked questions mixed with some Canadian things such as Gilles Duceppe, Bouchard-two Quebec Separatists.
He also mentioned the province of Saskatchewan as well.
When they get to the end of the program and are asking someone about Canada's States, a little kid pipes up and says, "Canada has Provinces, not States!"
So there is hope!

Sorry I haven't tried to embed youtube yet. Here is the link, it is one of six, so if you want you can see the whole program.
Even Gov Mike Huckabee is there.
On a side note in 2001 Ric Mercer was nominated for an Emmy for this, but 9/11 took place and he requested that his nomination be removed because
he didn't want to be seen as poking a little fun at a time of tragedy.
Hope you enjoy it in the right spirit.
It may cause you to seek if what you know about Canada is right or not.
