Mom and dad always enjoy visiting Truth Tab.

It's very sad about my cousin. I can't hardly believe it. I wish I was able to visit her but that's impossible. But I can pray!

This brings to mind a topic that I have been thinking about for some time, not the need for a non-traditional Oneness church in every city from Bonavista to Vancouver Island, but the exodus of men from ministry.

Are there temporary ministry assignments today?

In the Old Testament, God would call a prophet from gathering figs or tending flocks, commission him to deliver a message to the nation, and then allow him to fade back into the farmlands. His ministry was only for a moment.

There are missionaries who have a lifetime calling while others are only sent on temporary assignments. Is the same not true with pastoral ministry? Are men who minister for a time and then leave ministry for secular employment guilty of putting their hand to the plough and looking back, or are they just men who were given a temporary ministry assignment?

I have not heard the rumour of a new church in New Brunswick's newest city, but I think it's a great idea. Bushville needs the Gospel as much as any other place in this Pentecostal province. (I would have suggested Tain'tville, but it's not central enough to service the city)

Of course there are. My mom is hoping ours is a temporary assignment. Just got off the phone with her and told her she might better be thinking "long term" instead.

I just returned from a bit of family vacation - spending last week in Vancouver/Victoria visiting with relatives and having some "fun". Everytime I head to Vancouver I'm struck by it's incredible natural beauty and the unique blend of urban jungle with natural wonders such as mountains, the ocean, and the beautiful lush vegetation of the area!

However, if I lived there I'm not sure I could endure the chronically congested and inadequate road system of the area.

I drove by People's Church in Surrey and thought of you and Felicity but was unable to attend on Sunday as we went with my wife's aunt to PVR's in New West..... We were staying at her house and were sort of expected to go to church with her....

I understand you when you speak of feeling obligated to attend your mother-in-law's church with her. I think this is the proper thing to do. You should have contacted us and we could have had a coffee together.
