Well, good or bad - I've been taking care of myself for a few decades now.
I read on another thread someone saying they don't know anything about taking care of themselves - I think that is a bad thing. I'm all for submission and the man being the leader in the home, but anything can happen and I think it's important that woman know what's going on so that they are able to step in case of an illness or even being widowed.
I'm sure I got my survival skills from my Mother. My dad owned his own businesses and she helped him and took care of all the household, so that's all I knew. I miss my mom at times like this -- she would love to have come helped me set up the kitchen, where best to hang pictures, iron the bedskirts and bring food - lol!

There are three wires there....... as I recall the wires are colored- the connection on the dryer is NOT. Easy to do, unless you switch the wires around and poof!
Any good hardware store would be able to help, and if you cannot find help in Electrical, look at the book on how to hook up a new pigtail.

I did notice the wires on the pigtail are colored, but had no clue the dryer wouldn't be. I guess I could replace them one color at a time (matching up the old pigtail colors).
I'm going to give it a whirl now. If I get fried.....I love EVERYONE!!!!!

I will - I believe I bought the wrong pigtail - - it has four terminals and I only have three terminals on the dryer.
I'm guessing they make one with three terminals, yet it has a four conductor plug. Back to Home Depot!

I do prefer Lowe's over HD - however, HD was the closest.

Got it figured out - I can see the color wire from the dryer, so I'll just match them up - - red on red (right) white and green in the middle (extra wire is ground) and black on black (left). I need a deeper phillips screw driver - - once I get that, I'll have it all taken care of!

Yikes!!! Well, look on the bright side. Touch the wrong wires and you'll never need to curl your hair for the rest of your life. It's the skin grafts you'll be spending your money on.
Be safe!!
