Is your TIME submitted to God?

How much of your life is really submitted to God? Finances? Family? Job? etc etc....I was really wondering introspectively if we often fool ourselves into thinking we are truly submitted to God.

In one area that just sort of fell on me is Time. This verse never really made much sense to me in the KJV, but in others it's quite apparent

Eph 5:10 proving what is acceptable to the Lord.
Eph 5:11 And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them.
Eph 5:12 For it is a shame even to speak of those things which are done by them in secret.
Eph 5:13 But all things that are reproved are made manifest by the light, for whatever makes manifest is light.
Eph 5:14 Therefore he says, "Awake, sleeping ones! And arise from the dead, and Christ shall give you light."
Eph 5:15 See then that you walk circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise,
Eph 5:16 redeeming the time, because the days are evil.
Eph 5:17 Therefore do not be unwise, but understand what the will of the Lord is.
Eph 5:18 And do not be drunk with wine, in which is excess, but be filled with the Spirit,
Eph 5:19 speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord;
Eph 5:20 always giving thanks for all things to God the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ,

Check out verse 16
Eph 5:16 making the best use of the time, because the days are evil.

Clarke says
Perhaps the apostle means in general, embrace every opportunity to glorify God, save your own souls, and do good to men.

How much of our time is squandered on petty selfish stuff? How much time do we spend building up our kingdom and doing OUR will before taking full consideration that we are here to build HIS kingdom and to do HIS will....

Mat 6:10 Your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.

many believe in the garden Jesus wrestled with his flesh and won out submitting his will to God...his war of the flesh? Not fornication...not theft...not lying...it was to do God's will and go to the cross. Perhaps, if that is the case, it can be summed up this way...his war was to NOT think of Himself first but to think rather first of God's will and then of us...

I had some comments about Romans 12 to add here too, but I decided not to. Maybe another time but it's a very introspective verse and we seem to spend so much time being extrospective of others.

Apostolic is defined on AFF as:

  1. There is One God. This one God reveals Himself distinctly as Father, Son and Holy Ghost.
  2. The Son is God himself in a human form or "God manifested in the flesh" (1Tim 3:16)
  3. Every sinner must repent of their sins.
  4. That Jesus name baptism is the only biblical mode of water baptism.
  5. That the Holy Ghost is for today and is received by faith with the initial evidence of speaking in tongues.
  6. The saint will go on to strive to live a holy life, pleasing to God.

I think if my time were better submitted to God I would spend less of it on these forums.
