If there is any surprise on my part at all is, why did it take so long to receive those threats.
I will always rail against these ecclesiastical political assasins. The religious mafia will take you out in a heart beat if you dissent in the least. They will ruin your reputation, destroy your career and not lose one moment of sleep over it. These kind of men are as evil as the devil himself.

I spent three hours last evening tracking down the last threat, only to be crushed to find out the anonymous culprit was someone I had considered trustworthy. I had stepped away from this user name for the last month because of all this. A few days after resuming posting as Pastor Poster this began again.

When the hurt comes from those that you love and trust the most is when you find the hurt the deepest. I am well acquainted with this. The problem lies in the tendency to become reactive in an equally ungodly manner. Also the other problem is in the tendency to become bitter. That is why that one must stay close to the Lord in prayer, fasting and communion with him during these terrible times when the very soul is being tested. I've seen too many backslide, walk away from God, unable to endure the pain inflicted upon them by these religious thugs. Instead of running away from God, it is a time that we should run TO him, in humble contrition, praying for those who would inflict this evil upon you...even doing good to them.

I would also warn you licensed ministers to never speak your conscience on AFF if your beliefs differ in even an insignificant way from your organization. Your anonymity is NOT guaranteed in any way.
|
This is truly unfortunate. Anyone who wants their anonymity concealed should have it guaranteed by the web-site and forum where they frequent. I personally do not care. I am as open and above board about who I am and what I stand for...that there is never any doubt at all.

On a personal note, I wish to clarify a misconception that seems to be floating around. I am not anti-UPC. I do have issues with several nondoctrinal items but on the whole I love the organization. I enjoy discussing these issues as the discussion helps me grow in knowledge.
|
You should not have to clarify anything. Your personal affections for your bretheren and the organization that you are a part of are well known here. If anyone doubts it, it is because they choose to but not for anything that you have said. Everyone has some point of objection to the UPCI...as least most everyone, spoken or unspoken. Shame on anyone who would want to squash any point of dissent, regardless how great or insignificant.

Anyone who knows me recognizes that I always have and will continue to support the basic tenants of our doctrine for as long as I am a part. So to those of you offended by my posts, I sincerely apologize. Please do not threaten me again as I take these sorts of threats very, very seriously.

Absolutely. We all know that you uphold, preach and practice the basic doctrines that are also held by the UPC, as do I also.
No apology is needed, as far as I am concerned.
