I got a letter saying I was put out under question by the District Board...I was never called in to be asked, I never got a phone call to be asked....I was put out under question but it was really under assumption...

Here's how it went down, The board conveined....my name was brought to the table....someone suggested that there might be a question about my allegence to the manual's articles of faith....they accepted my licence and put me under question saying that I had violated the articles of faith...

Keep in mind, I sent my license in without any charges against me...they never asked for my license....they didn't expect them either as far as I know. I didn't even know I was going to turn them in the morning i woke up and decided to do it later that day....so how could they know?

I agree ... that this has happened in the past in many areas where the leaders are weak-minded and CARNAL... but a resolution like this would mandate these GOSSIP SESSIONS in each district without due process.

Funny thing...neighboring UC pastor GH turned his card in a month before mine....and they DID NOT put him under question...LOL...shows the prejudice...

When they put me out under question, my church was no different than at least 50 % of the UPC...maybe more but in this instance I wanted to be CONSERVATIVE!!!

Bro...the manual already does is the point...all this change does is define what is "under question" and what is "unbecoming conduct"...the rest is the same as it has been for decades...

But apparently those under question were not necessarily decided upon as a group ... a pastor could decide who he could fellowship w/ or not w/ UNDER the older by-law ... now the blacklisting process is more formalized ... its mandated by the powers that be .... The local church is once again losing sovereignty under this resolution ... it's as PP said they are becoming more centralized and denominational ... before you know it we'll be calling the DS ... CARDINAL
