You are either modest, and wear dresses. OR you are immodest, and wear pants.
Immodest:
Not modest; specifically: not conforming to the sexual mores of a particular time or place.
Not modest in conduct, utterance, etc.; indecent; shameless.
Offending against sexual mores in conduct or appearance; indecent:
Immodesty's final result would have to be 'sleazy'. Why else would you want to avoid appearing immodest?

I know you aren't actually saying you can only be modest in a dress, cause you and I both know that ain't right.

I´ve seen that thing around it makes me want to puke...and if you want to look how I personally dress go to my thread. Some people would do better mowing the lawn than behind a pulpit.
I just got in from my doctor´s and where ever I go I invite them to church. she told me, Missionary you are a person tha brings peace to my office but if I went to your church I might bring you shame. I said, How is that...she said I would be in pants, jewelry and would not look like you. I told her come just like you are and no one would ever say anything. She said but Missionary, I like to dance and I smiled and said come on you can join the crowd...
Why in the world would we ever want to focus on our differences when an eternal soul is in our mist...can we not talk of the goodness of Jesus...
Strange how external things cause people to feel "SO SAVED" that they would destoy someone else and call them such a name.
IN 40 years I have never told one idol worshippers to take down their gods and destroy them. I live a 24/7 life before them that causes them not to want dead saints and clay gods...If you think you have something better just be a christian...at all times.
It is rude to use God´s name to make yourself look holy...there was a class of people like that in our Lord´s day. He didn´t seem to think so much of them...

I sat there and held my wife's hand. Not much else to do at that point.
I did have to pray long and hard for the man and ask the Lord to give me enough love for him that I could forgive him.
It was not easy, and believe me, there were a lot of other things going on. It did drive me to places in prayer that nothing else would have.
Of course, as I said, this one anecdote was just one of many things we suffered in the course of this ordeal. And this wasn't even the worst one.

And still, the hurt did not cause you to leave the church and drop everything that you believe in? That is amazing.

Coonskinner,
That's they only thing we can do - ask God to allow us to forgive. We are going to be offended every which way we turn and hate, anger and bitterness just ruin the whole journey!

It wasn't God's fault. No use blaming him.
