I laughed when I read that. In some parts of the world people get arrested for showing their spirit.

I think if you tell people to repent, they need to really turn back to Jesus and not standards correct?

If standards are not personal convictions, what exactly are they? Can you live adhering to standards without actually having those convictions, in other words, are you saying you should be willing to embrace something you are essentially forced to believe?

I am the one who brought up what someone else wrote as the doctrine of standards being social or cultural doctrines, although I am not the one who came up with that term.

Firstly, I thought you were thick-skinned?

Secondly, the AFF is loaded with comments that say another poster's statement is "you fill in the blank"...and I have yet to see you come to the rescue and protest about it (perhaps, you have, but I haven't seen it from you)...let's not deify anyone...public speakers will get public scrutiny and their words are being critiqued here, not their reputation.... nuff said.
