Their job is to gather data that helps to ensure the security of the United States from all enemies foreign and domestic. Obviously, they have reason to believe that Trump is a threat to the security and interests of the United States. If Trump has nothing to hide, their findings could actually be used to vindicate him of all suspicion.

I ask you now....are YOU dense? Wait, I already know the answer. It's politics. Were this happening with a liberal in the WH, you would be asking the same questions I'm asking and demanding investigations into the intel community.

Nope. I wouldn't. I welcomed all investigations on Obama relating to his birth, etc. Having been in the military and having worked with various assets I understand that if we turn on the intelligence community and investigate them, it could chill the agency. We don't need them thinking twice about investigating anyone, especially public officials, when the security of our nation might be at stake.

No kidding. It used to be the media tried disguising their liberal bias. Now days they've completely abandoned it and have embraced their liberalism.

Don't know about Swann. It's being investigated by a LOT of citizens. There are also apparently some insider FBI and NYPD types who may be involved in leaking info since the PTBs don't seem to want to do anything about it.

Wikileaks released docs today showing the CIA has a massive network of hackers who can infiltrate a system and plant "fingerprints" from others. The CIA has detached itself from the NSA in the area of cyber security, which allegedly means they have less scrutiny and restrictions on what they do and how they do it.

Answer this question, please: Is it impossible for the CIA to hack a system and plant evidence of another agency or foreign government?

While the NSA's mission includes domestic, the CIA is not supposed to be operating on US soil against US citizens. It's not "obvious" they believe him to be a threat. There hasn't been any evidence he's broken any laws. Also, since when do spooks work to help clear people? It's more likely they will plant fake evidence to try and take Trump down than try to exonerate him.
