Is this, like, on the lines of 57 states? Yes! Hahahahahahaha!

“I wasn’t particularly impressed,” said Sanford. “It was the normal stream of consciousness that’s long on hyperbole and short on facts. At one point, somebody asked about Article I powers: What will you do to protect them? I think his response was, ‘I want to protect Article I, Article II, Article XII,’ going down the list. There is no Article XII.”

This posted in defense of a man who bragged about committing adultery with married women. A man who owned and operated a strip club. And a man who routinely slanders opponents, critics, journalists, and other citizens.
Sanford wasn't criticising Trump's morals, he was challenging Trump's knowledge of the constitution, which doesn't require Sanford to be pure as the driven snow.
And again we have "I don't support Trump" standing in defense over and over for Trump.

Re: Unbound: The Conscience of a Republican Delega
They have enough votes!
Kendal Unruh, member of the RNC Rules Committee:
""""28 committee members are required to pass a minority report, which then goes to the convention floor for all delegates to vote on. It then requires a simple majority to pass." She added that she does "have the 28 votes required for the minority report," continuing, "Not everyone who is with us is willing to be public yet, due in part to the threats being made by Trump's campaign and the RNC itself."""

Re: Unbound: The Conscience of a Republican Delega
Sad that the Trump campaign and Trumpsters thugs are making threats against any of the rules committee who dare vote to unbind the delegates.

Re: Unbound: The Conscience of a Republican Delega
More from Unruh:
"""It is the duty of the delegates to represent the best interests of their states and to select a Republican candidate who actually represents our party and who can beat Hillary in November. That's not Donald Trump. We don't live in a straight democracy, where majority rule has the absolute say. We have a measured, representative form of government that allows time for discussion, fact-finding, and wisdom before our elected representatives make the final decision. Many new facts have come out since the early primaries that should disqualify Trump, and the delegates have historically always been the final stop-gate through which our party's nominee must pass. Trump didn't even get the vote of a majority of Republicans, and over 50% agree that he should not be our nominee. In fact, he would be the first Republican nominee to receive the nomination with more votes cast against him in the primaries than for him."""
Trump's vetting of a pro-choice Democrat for VP doesn't help him at all.

Re: Unbound: The Conscience of a Republican Delega
If they succeed and Trump doesn't get the nomination...it will not just be this election the GOP loses. It will be a lasting scar. We will lose the next midterms as well.
Not that people like PO or ndavid actually care. More and more they just come off as caricatures instead of real people.
No one likes Trump. However, everyone (except dillusional Cruz supporters) recognizes that Hillary is worse than Trump in every way. Istill don't plan to vote for Trump at the moment, but watching these two continue to fight for the failed Cruz candidacy is just mindnumbing.
Liberals win, and will apparently always win, because they are happy to elect a liberal who can give them 3 or 4 things they want even if they fail to give them a dozen other things. Conservatives like PO though...you either meet 100% of their criteria or you get no support. Handing elections to liberals every time. Congrats. You and your "principles" hold the libs hands as they pull thehandle and flush our right sand our nation down the toilet. Hooray for you.
If Trump is flipped and the nomination is handed to someone else, it will not be Cruz. It will be an establishment guy. And it will be a disaster. It will be like watching Dole try to run against Clinton. It was a sad, pathetic joke. Despite his monumental flaws and shortcomings...at leastTrump appears to be willing to fight Hillary, defend our borders and defend the 2nd amendment. Maybe not...but we KNOW for certain HIllary will go after those rights with all her heart.
You don't care though. You just care about being right in your own eyes and destroying Trump no matter how badly it damages the party. I hate Trump. I don't plan on voting for him. That doesn't mean I will be fighting against him either though. He may be terrible, but Hillary is evil. If a terrible man can stomp that evil woman...then so be it. I won't cheer for him, but I would rather have him win than Hillary. That I would have to mourn.
again...you don't care though. All you care about is that your little man crush Cruz got beaten and you can't stand it. So you pout, rant and do all you can to destroy the guy who beat him clearly. Anything to avoid accepting the fact that Cruz was and is unlikable and a failed candidate.

Re: Unbound: The Conscience of a Republican Delega
At this point, I'll take any establishment Republican over Trump, who is a Democrat pretending to be a Republican.
His influence on the GOP has already cause both abortion and gay rights to be on the table for change in the GOP platform. Should he win, Trump will destroy the GOP and conservativism from the inside.

So , in other words, you prefer an establish Republican who is really a globalist Democrat than Trump who, if he is really a Democrat, is , at least, a NATIONALIST Democrat.
You would rather see the establishment hack get the nomination and lose than for Trump to get the nomination and win. Pathetic.
And I am over all of this abortion and gay rights whining from you people. Article 5 is the solution, not electing the President with the right views on those issues.
