Seriously, though, as much as Cruz' mannerisms and voice get on my nerves, this video is just a standard attack ad that is not wholly accurate. And that inaccuracy does nothing to win supporters to Trump, and will only solidify the Cruz crowd's support of Cruz.

So, what we look for in a candidate is "consistency". We realize that during interviews, a person is going to answer as to what the audience wants to hear.

Let's take the points of the video in order:

1. Does Trump support Universal Healthcare? Yes, he does.



2. Where has Donald Trump stood on 2nd Amendment rights?

Donald Trump rates in the grey area on this issue. When you believe strongly in the right to bear arms, you don't change that view at any time - ever. Ted Cruz has NEVER evolved or changed his view on this important issue. This issue is a "must" to have been consistent on.



3. Does Donald Trump support Planned Parenthood.




4. Does Donald Trump fully support Israel?



5. Would Donald Trump Rip up the Iran Deal?


6. Would Donald Trump make deals concerning SCOTUS choices?



In conclusion, Ted Cruz is a deep thinker. He does not ever say things off the cuff. Everything he says and does is calculated and based on solid conservative principles that are upheld by the United States Constitution. You can't trump Ted Cruz - pun intended.

So basically all you do is parrot Cruz. All of these points have been clarified and re-clarified by Trump time and again. This is why Cruz has been so weak against Trump. All he has is, "I was a conservative first". Any tightening in the polls has been because of Trump's stumbles and not because people are believing Cruz's line that Trump is not a real conservative.

This is an issue with Trump: he is wildly inconsistent.

In three hours, he took three different positions on abortion, only a couple days later to say abortion should remain legal. And even then, his campaign had to "clarify" that comment with a new position.

Who wants a POTUS who isn't consistent and steady in their conservative beliefs; who changes positions and has to clarify comments after any position statement.

Wildly is an understatement.

His statements on single payer healthcare were from after he announced he was running and from the debates. So is his position on PP and other issues.

His pro-choice position was from over a decade ago and he says he's changed. But recently he gave support to Roe V Wade and said it should remain the law. Now, his campaign tried to "clarify" that statement and took a fifth position on the issue by claiming he meant it should be law until he changes it after becoming POTUS.
