Cruz leads effort to sanction the group

Should the State Department refuse to move forward with the designation, the bill would require it to provide a justification for this policy, according to the bill.

No it wasn't about that and you know it! It was so very highly insulting, but you don't want to talk about that and all its implications.

There were PLENTY of people who were convinced, by GOP efforts, by Trump's efforts, that President Obama was a foreigner and Constitutionally not eligible to be President.

But you don't think ANY OF THIS should have been offensive to black people at all!

Even after the Governor of Hawaii spoke on his behalf.
Even after the newspaper clippings.
Even after he showed his birth certificate-- it wasn't enough! Many associated with the GOP pressed for more!

There was more to it than what you are saying.
Don't try to whitewash history.
Even today, there are people, GOP'ers, who are firmly convinced, due to GOP efforts, that President Obama is Kenyan and shouldn't be President-- and that thought has a lot more baggage with it than what you care to admit.

Bottom line, Ted Cruz KNOWS he has no chance of winning now. At best, he's vying for more name recognition so that in the future he might have a chance.

But people, not just black people, but people in general, will NOT FORGET the way the GOP-likes tried to question President Obama's citizenship and his fitness for President, based off of junk.

If Cruz is truly eligible, I hope he doesn't go through what President Obama went through. It was so beneath the office of the President to do what some were demanding of him. No one else had that demand made of them in recent history at all.

Not sure what your fascination is with Obama or his "blackness". Herman Cain is black, Ben Carson is black, Alan West is black, all more black (two black parents) than Obama. All would be better than Obama. Its policy, not color. Few people have a problem with a black man in the White House. Yet under Obama we've seen race relations set back 30-40 years. The unrest in our major cities is exhibit A, your posts Exhibit B (or maybe they just exhibit you buy the CNN talking points).

As for his bc, the fact he wouldn't release it until he was president for 2 years speaks volumes. I had to show my BC to sack groceries, but this guy couldn't show it to run for president. If nothing else it just speaks to the corruption of politics and Obamas disdain for Americans in general. He loves those who love him. He governs for those who love him. He sticks it to all others. Say what you will about GWB, he loved Americans, especially veterans.

If it were me, I would have NEVER shown my BC! Why weren't other Presidents asked to show their birth certificates?

Then when others like the GOVERNOR of Hawaii stated that he had seen his bc, it wasn't enough!

And Obama just publically complimented GHWBush's presidency.
