There you go, case in point!
Hmmmm....makes me wonder, if that pastor would take a visinting preacher to Hooter's, where he would go NOT wanting to impress someone!!!
You did say ex-wife, didn't you? Wouldn't take the prophetic to figure that one out!
Sorry for the hijack!!! Teach me how to dress right. CC1, is this how Pastor Dan dresses?

Typically these are shirts that are squared at the bottom and not meant to be tucked in. At least that is what I have seen.

Not always - many times it's the tailed kind too.

Pastor Dan wears a suit and tie like most preachers on Sunday's. For other services sometimes he is more casual.
For special ceremonies like ordinaton of something he might pull out the famous robe!!!

I know Jentezen Franklin wares his out on Wednesday nights!

I remember when Jentzen Franklin's church went casual and i was shocked at all the wrinkled shirts and denim on the platform...I sent him an e-mail voicing my opinion that platform people should look their best and not so slouchy! He thanked me and made them do a bit better ! LOL

Rhoni - You are so right! When we first went there - he required all the ministers to wear at the very least - A Jacket. I came in late one Wednesday night wearing Jeans and an orange short sleeve shirt. Wouldn't you know - He called me up to preach that night! Lord help me I was SOOOOO embarrassed! I never wore jeans back there after that!
After some of us talked to him and some like you emailed him about how casual Sunday mornings were becoming - He cleaned it up a bit - then let it go right back down.
I love him and it is his church so he can do whatever - but it looks like a Braves game crowd now - ON THE PLATFORM!
Have you heard the BIG news? He will make the BIG announcement tomorrow.

What say ye? Is it wrong to dress like this for church?

How about pajamas to church? That seems to be in fashion for the young people these days. I saw some individuals dressed in pajamas and slippers in Wal-Mart. The shot-out-of-a-canon look seems to be the trend.
Young people have parents and those parents are the ones who need to work with their children. If the young people don't listen to mom and dad they will certainly not listen to the Holy Ghost.
A person needs the Holy Ghost first before you hand them the Sear's catalog.
