My parents just left the hospital not long ago, and Mom called to give me an update.
My uncle is trying to talk, but it is very difficult for anyone to understand him. They did understand that he was trying to say my dad's first name when they walked into the room. So at least they know that he does recognize and know familiar faces. He was able to move his right leg just a little bit late this afternoon, but as of yet, there is still no movement in the right arm.
The doctors have said that there are pieces of plaque that have broken loose from the artery in his neck, leaving a weak place in the artery and those pieces of plaque are floating around in his brain. They say that if one of those pieces of plaque lodges in his brain, it could cause a massive stroke.
I do not want to dwell on this negative report. I want to believe God that these pieces of plaque are going to be removed, and not become lodged anywhere.
Will update as I get more information.
To those of you who are praying for my uncle, It is greatly appreciated.

He has been moved to Rehab in Corinth MS.
Mom & Dad visited him there yesterday, and they were told that he'd been doing pretty much everything for himself.
I'm going to see him this afternoon, and take him a small TV, VCR and some Gaither videos to watch---and a pineapple milkshake from Sonic.

My hubby and I went to visit Uncle George today.
He talked very little, he was tired. He wants to talk more, but seems to be having some problems in getting what he is thinking into words. I guess that is considered normal after having three strokes. He is VERY blessed to be doing so well within such a short time after the strokes.
He has 75% of the use of his arm that was affected by the stroke. They said that the physical therapy may help him regain almost all the strength/use of that arm again.
I was talking with my aunt about things I remembered from childhood-- She had asked me to do so to see how far back he was able to remember. He remembered everything we talked about.
He is still having VERY bad headaches, which they said is one of the side effects of some of the medication they have him on. I know that God is able to take care of those headaches.
He also still has the problem of the plaque floating around in his brain. We are praying that the Lord will just take care of this for him, as the doctors say there's nothing they can do for it.
He wants to come home so badly-- and they have told him that once the medication levels are regulated, they will let him come home and have a physical therapist come work with him there.
He still has the brace on his leg where they had to fix it after his shock and the fall from the ladder that happened due to the electric shock.
He is a very blessed man. He has a lot of faith-- and I believe his faith is going to get him through this.

Sis. Tina,
Do you have an update on your uncle George! Still believing God will
bring this dear man through!!
Also, how is Scott that we prayed for who was not expected to live.
But the family didn't prepare their children for their dad to die, but to
live. And he lived!! Thank You, Jesus.
Blessings,

He was able to go for a short time out of the rehab center yesterday. My aunt took him for a ride in the truck to sonic to get a milkshake.
I haven't gotten any more messages about him today, but I have been very busy at youth camp and haven't really had a chance to check in with all who have been keeping me posted. I'll see if I can get an update tonight from Mom or one of my aunts that went to see him today. I'll post it when I get one.
The last time Dad talked to his sister, Scott was doing very well. Thanks for asking

Update:
My uncle George is going to have to go to Birmingham AL next Wednesday Aug 8 for a consultation with a surgeon. The blockage in his neck is at 85%. None of the surgeons in this area will attempt this operation to fix it. They have told him that if this isn't fixed, that he could have another stroke that would either kill him or leave him as a vegetable.
It would be greatly appreciated if you'd continue to remember him in your prayers.
