What is fascism? A form of socialism (just as communism is a form of socialism).

Memes have a place, they communicate ideas quickly and succinctly. Like them or not, memes exist and they work when done correctly.

Most people do not think rationally, they "think" heuristically. Not good, I know, but it's a fact and we have to deal with it.

Is America a socialist nation? In many ways, yes. We are in transition. We are becoming a socialist police state. Look at the amount of surveillance taking place. The very premise of "1984" is modern American reality. Does anyone even remember what America was like before the ubiquitous cameras, the spying? Back when Mayberry PD wasn't dressed up like black ninja stormtroopers with full military kit?

And we don't understand how Germans could say "we didn't suspect..." lol.

Do they convey the right idea though? I see all kinds of people posting these and half of them are wrong and the rest of them tend to be questionable. Very few are 100% accurate

i will certainly concede that point; i don't think anything is 100% accurate for every situation. i do think the meme speaks accurately in general, but i note municipalities that i have been through who scoff at the idea of militarizing their police forces. There are still Sheriffs who do not even carry a gun.

ok this is cute, but obscuring. This should be viewed by the fruits of the efforts in Iraq and Afghanistan. My view there is skewed toward all the 'bad' fruit done, but there might be some good? Although you'd think that that would be all over our news...i can't recall anything. i hear we left uncountable pallets of money there, and billions of dollars are "unaccounted for," (which might have produced some fruit?) Anyone?

We hung Saddam and left a lot of equipment for ISIS. We added a couple tril to the national debt.

On the positive side we achieved..........? Thousands of messed up young soldiers? A slap to our credibility on the world stage?

We sure didn't export any benefit to anyone's freedom or human rights. It was a typical and classic political exercise.

Goats and oil aside this lot isnt touching the rights of the people in the occupied territories or how getting hurt there when you arent supposed to be there constitutes self defense. Not touching why bullets and bulldozers are the answer to rocks and signs. What a bunch of hypocrites.

well, i gotta admit, i got a big list of the fruit of these exercises, but none of it--and i mean zero--is pretty. Some scumbags and mercenaries got rich, seems to be the best of it. Blackwater and Haliburton made billions. I note that no one is rushing forward with all the good deeds done. Guess you're right.
