The question gets to the heart of whether Hillary Clinton personally reviewed the security requests from Benghazi when she was the Secretary of State.

Under intense questioning from Republican representative Jim Jordan, former DHS official Todd Keil agreed that there were grave security threats in the days leading up to the Benghazi attack and that many requests for greater security were not only ignored but the security they already had was down-graded.

Trey Gowdy reserved the fire and passion he’s known so well for in his opening statement, and gave a sober and calm assessment of the reasons this new hearing is needed.

But no mention that the Ambassador himself turned down offers for an increase in security?

And what about the alleged increase in operating funding that was requested for that FY but was rejected by Congress?

Can't pin this completely on the President so let's drag this out as long as possible and pin as much as possible as late as possible on the State Dept-- the dept that was headed by the future number one Democratic Presidential nominee in 2016.

Slow down, JD. There have been many interviews and private hearings already and many more to come.

You complained that I was too biased in my commentary on obama's speech last week, yet you yourself are as much, if no moreso, in your dismissal of these hearings as a GOP stunt.

Why not wait and let the process work itself out. Even Congressman Cummings had good things to say about the hearing and investigation.
