Obama's Immigration Fix?
Im concerned with the notion of Politicians wanting to burn more of our tax dollars
But when it comes to immigration my concern is that it seems that despite what we've spent already the problem isnt that we need to spend more money. It's that we need to use the resources we've already spent our money on
It's like having a high paid basketball team and only playing 4 players, losing and the owner saying he will spend more money and jack ticket prices up.
What do they plan on spending all that money for?

Re: Obama's Immigration Fix?
Someone is intent on destroying this country, and that someone seems to be the master pulling the puppet strings of our president, it seems.

Re: Obama's Immigration Fix?
In answer to your question, Prax. I believe a large portion will go to the "Justice AmeriCorps" project that the Justice Department has formed. In short it will supply legal assistance to the illegals - 100 lawyers from 29 cities. And I say illegals, not immigrants. They are coming here illegally. We should never forget that salient point.
My concern is loyalty to the country you immigrate to. Time and again we see these people coming here who don't assimilate well into American society. I see it in my own local community. We had a local restaurant that used to fly a Mexican flag. Don't know what happened, but they took it down. And that's a good thing, because I have never eaten at the establishment because of their support of Mexico. If you love it so much, go back and fix your own broken country. Don't bring your heritage here and think I am going to be dancing with the Mariachis. I am an American.
There is nothing wrong with loving your heritage, but when you push it in another countries face as a taunt, that's when it becomes a problem. I see this quite a lot in South Texas.
A huge case in point would be the mother of the Mayor of San Antonio, Julian Castro. Maria "Rosie" Castro, a Chicana political activist, helped establish the Chicano political party La Raza Unida.
She is reportedly quoted, commenting on the Alamo, “I can truly say that I hate that place and everything it stands for.”
A little history for her. The conflict at the Alamo was not a racial issue. Not everyone involved in fighting against Santa Anna's tyrannical government were Americans. There were Tejanos involved, and even many Europeans.
I trust no one associated with La Raza.

Obama Administration Providing Illegal Immigrants Taxpayer-Funded Lawyers
According to The New York Times, the $2 million grant will be "distributed to nonprofit organizations in 29 cities," and federal officials expect nearly 10,000 illegal immigrant children to appear in courts in those cities.

Yes, just yesterday. He and 8 council members had been under investigation for Texas elections violations, diverting money for personal use. I couldn't find the information, don't have time this morning, that he is having his own housing problems in San Antonio. He and his brother are rising stars for the Dems.

Re: Obama's Immigration Fix?
Gov Rick Perry said this new money Obama is asking for, only 2% will go to border security. It is mainly used for the children, and is de facto Amnesty. The money could be used to fly them home in style.

40% of Federal Criminal Cases in 2013 Were in Districts on Mexican Border
Whether measured by the number of criminal cases filed by U.S. attorneys or the number of guilty verdicts they ultimately secured in cases in U.S. district courts, 40 percent of the federal crimes documented by the Justice Department in fiscal 2013 took place in the five U.S. court districts (out of the total of 94 U.S. court districts) that sit on the U.S.-Mexico border.

Shovel Ready Judges: The Obama Plan to Address Immigration Backlog
On Tuesday, President Obama requested $3.7 billion in “emergency” funds from Congress to address the urgent immigration crisis along the southwestern border.
The proposal includes a request of $45.4 million “to hire approximately 40 additional immigration judges and support teams, including those anticipated to be hired on a temporary basis.”
According to the Department of Justice, the more than 260 immigration judges in 59 immigration courts nationwide already have a backlog backlog of 366,758 cases.
Moreover, it will take months to find and train judges qualified to handle immigration cases to the standards outlined by the Department of Justice. If they were hired today, it would be next year before they were ready to hear cases.
