Churches in and around Tampa
I'm visiting the Tampa/St. Petersburg areas next week. Any recommendations for churches to visit?

Re: Churches in and around Tampa
Mizpeh, My brother in law and my sister started the Pentecostal Church in Brandon, just south of Tampa. The Highpoint Church of Brandon. It is on Pinecrest Rd.
He has had to turn it over to another Pastor because of his health. I know they would welcome you. If you go, notice the mural behind the baptistry, I painted it.

Miss Puh, just glad to see you asking about churches to visit! Sadly I don't personally know of any in Tampa or DC.

"We did not wear uniforms. The lady workers dressed in the current fashions of the day, ...silks...satins...jewels or whatever they happened to possess. They were very smartly turned out, so that they made an impressive appearance on the streets where a large part of our work was conducted in the early years.
"It was not until long after, when former Holiness preachers had become part of us, that strict plainness of dress began to be taught.
"Although Entire Sanctification was preached at the beginning of the Movement, it was from a Wesleyan viewpoint, and had in it very little of the later Holiness Movement characteristics. Nothing was ever said about apparel, for everyone was so taken up with the Lord that mode of dress seemingly never occurred to any of us."

Re: Churches in and around Tampa
Thank you all for the suggestions. I'm praying the Lord will lead me to where he wants me to go since I'll have my mom and daughter with me and neither of them are following Jesus.

If I were in Washington and had the opportunity, I'd visit this church for sure.

Ok. It's a church with a lot of history that would be interesting.
Abraham Lincoln attended church there for example.
