It is irrelevant to the case. I think the media, in high profile cases, move into the family tree.

This is a good interview 11 days before the trial began. Hadn't seen it before today.

Seems Sharpton is wanting to quell any unrest at the verdict, whichever way it goes. And O'Mara, as a Prosecutor, is explaining the various photos and information they put out about TM. They have to put out all evidence before the state or they can't use it later if they need it. It wasn't to taint the jury pool.

And I did see Sharpton's point that an easy case of self-defense, in a home, is not the same as one person with a gun against someone unarmed. That is the reason they pushed the case to trial. I'm sure that wasn't all of it, but okay, I'll take that part as reasonable. He was saying this type of case should go before a trial and not decided by police officers. O'Mara stated that these cases do get decided by law enforcement every day, but agreed this case should have gone before a jury.

Another point on the remarks about TM having only a small abrasion on his left hand, there would be no visible swelling due to his body having stopped functioning before any type of the natural body repair mechanisms kicked in.

Also, the comments about GZ not having enough blood on him, I think people have forgotten it was raining and would, naturally, wash some of that blood away.

PO, I'm not able to follow this on TV, so the only stuff I hear about this case is mainly on this forum. I'm not sure about how TM was situated when he was shot, but I'm thinking he wasn't laying right on GZ. To shoot someone when they are laying on you is about impossible, it would seem.

I'm thinking TM was on his knees, straddling GZ while assaulting him and when he was shot, it could be possible that he fell back or to the side. If that happened, there wouldn't be blood on GZ, especially since TM had a hoodie on as well. Do you think that's accurate assuming?

There are websites to show handsigns. One for the Crips is a C made with the thumb and first finger with the other three fingers fanned out upward.

The eye witness says TM was straddling GZ MMA style "ground and Pound" not lying down on GZ.

GZ said that Trayvon was covering his mouth, so I am assuming Trayvon, aside from straddling him, couldn't have stoppped GZ from reaching for his gun. He said that TM started to grab for the gun, and GZ having the advantage, got to it first. When GZ shot him, TM sat up and said, "You got me". GZ, as everything happened to fast, is assuming that is when he was able to get out from under him. I believe he said he thinks he pushed him to the side not knowing he was already dead.

The Defense filed a batch of discovery (80 photos of evidence), which included grass stains on TM's pants.
