She was on the phone with the victim literally right before this happened.

Sorry that I missed this post. Would I suggest that we don't listen to anything she has to say at all? I think that after her display on the stand, i.e., her disrespect for the court, the lies she has already told, she is an irrelevant witness and should be impeached.

She appears to me to only be there to defend her friend even if what she is saying is not true. They will bring out, again, that she got involved because of racial implications.

What struck me is when she told the Defense that she is not an emotional person and doesn't often display emotion. Yet, her Tweets that were scrubbed, were full of emotional language. Her demeanor toward the defense was like this - Pure emotion on display.

I visually saw her do the smart aleck head maneuver at West and the rude "Yes, Sirs", were not lost on me. She appears angry to be caught in a corner where she has to prove she isn't lying about everything, and to own up to the lies she has already told.

If I was sitting on the jury, she would be a person that shows extreme bias more than wanting justice. She is wanting justice, but not for the right reasons. It's a racial issue for her.

To the over-zealous neighborhood watch who is determined to catch someone, the 17 year old was suspicious.

Even when I was 17, someone walking around between houses at night was suspicious

It's depressing, that's why I haven't posted much on this thread.

I know what happened to Trayvon Martin.

He was only 17, so young and unaware of any world other than his own.

His age and his naievete drove his response and when he felt that "flight" was no longer an option, he had to "fight".

The defendant was fed-up with the crime happening in his neighborhood. His sense of moral courage, ego and prejudice drove his actions and when he realized that "flight" was not an option, he used his weapon and killed the 17 year old.

Nobody "knows" what happened.

You had a 17 year old who thought he was being followed. A chase is an entirely different thing and an emotive term to change the perspective of "following" to an aggressive act of persuit.
