Re: George Zimmerman Trial Live Streaming
Having called 911 on someone before (suspected drunk driver), I completely understand why GZ followed TM. He did the right thing. He called 911, reported what he saw, stated why he felt TM seemed "suspicious," then kept his eye on him to continue reporting to the 911 operator. That is what I did. My intension was to call & report what I saw and give a description of the car along with the license plate #. However, the operator continued to ask me questions such as; "What are they doing now," "Let me know if they pass [such & such road]," "Now what's happening?" And so on. Therefore, I *followed* the suspected drunk driver while staying on the phone with 911.
I wanted to give the info and be on my way; but I was asked questions and so I felt like I needed to continue to follow and observe. The women ended up pulling into an apartment complex parking lot. I did the same, parking several spaces away, all the while talking to a 911 operator. The woman began to back out to leave (she apparently saw that I was following her and was trying to lose me). When she started to back her car out, I did the same. At that point, she pulled right back in... I did, too.
The whole time, the operator was asking me questions, wanting to know where I was, what street I was on and near, what did I see happening, etc. How else could I answer unless I followed the car? Finally, an officer arrived and I gave him the same info and asked if I could leave.
My point is, when I saw something "suspicious," I called 911. I expected that I would follow the car for a short time while I gave the operator some info. BUT, the operator asked a lot of questions which caused me to feel obligated to stick with the supposed drunk driver; following, turning when she did, parking when she did, attempting to leave when she did, etc.
While listening to GZ's 911 call, I thought back to the incident I was involved in and I'd have to say that I totally get why GZ followed TM and why he got out of his vehicle to see where TM went. I'm pretty sure the 911 operator ASKED GZ in which direction the "suspect" went. In order to know/answer, GZ would have had to get out of his truck, walk, watch, follow, etc.
Once the operator asked if he was following and he said he was, GZ was told it wasn't necessary. GZ said, "Okay," and stated that he began walking back to his truck. THEN, being nervous about the situation, he didn't want to say exactly where his truck was parked because he didn't want the "suspicious" guy to overhear, so he asked if the police would call him once they entered the neighborhood.
It does not sound at all as though GZ sought out to pursue/chase down TM; but was following a person who looked suspicious to him in order to give the 911 operator the information he was asking for. Not to mention the fact that he was a neighborhood watch member AND that there had been recent break-ins in that area.
By the way, the 911 operator I spoke with while following the suspected drunk driver *DID* tell me to stay with the car and continue following until a police officer arrived. (I almost said, "No, I'm sorry I can't do that," as I was on my way to pick up my youngest daughter from cheerleading practice. I was 15 minutes late picking her up that evening because of this incident. But I followed because I wanted to make sure the officer was able to find the driver, but mostly because that was the only way I could continue to answer the questions being asked by the operator.)
Just thought I'd share my experience & compare it to what happened with GZ/TM for consideration.

Re: George Zimmerman Trial Live Streaming
Interesting side note...in the interest impartiality.
Jenna Lauer was a wit yesterday and was questioned by the Pros about her Twitter account. She didn't think she was following GZ's brother; it turns out she was. She had ZERO tweets, meaning she never typed anything on Twitter, but she was following over a hundred people, including GZ's brother Robert Zimmerman, Jr. Also, sometime last night she went and deleted her Twitter account.
I wouldn't be surprised if the Pros didn't bring her back for more questions. I believe her subpoena is still intact.
The reason I mention it, is because I previously posted a link from The Smoking Gun website criticizing Rachel Jeantel for deleting a bunch of tweets from her account.

Yup the Defense has flipped the script on this witness also...at this point if I was the Prosecution I would just throw my hands up in the air and say "I GIVE UP"..

Re: George Zimmerman Trial Live Streaming
I have a question...
The Pros showed some pics the wit took of TM laying deceased in the grass.
I'm surprised I haven't heard the Pros ask anyone about this.
GZ said he shot TM because TM was bashing his head into the concrete. Yet TM is pictured lying in the grass, several feet from the concrete. Why the potential discrepancy?
My thoughts:
GZ wasn't able to access his gun while getting his head bashed in on the concrete, where the confrontation started; where TM used MMA-style "ground and pound" on GZ. Then it moved to the grass, where GZ was able to access his firearm and use it to shoot TM.

I believe the witness on the stand now said, after showing the photo he took of Trayvon lying face down, that this is where the altercation "ended". Meaning it didn't start there in the grass.

Right, that's what I'm saying. GZ said he shot TM because he was getting his head bashed in. Did TM crawl down to the grass after being shot; or did GZ shoot TM in the grass after having his head bashed into the concrete?

Re: George Zimmerman Trial Live Streaming
Current wit says GZ was "staggering a little." Would be consistent with someone who got his head bashed into the concrete.

I don't know how men fight, so I can't picture what could have occurred in my mind. They weren't too far apart in weight - 10lbs. - right? So, I could only think maneuvering was going on.
Wasn't Trayvon photographed engaged in some street fighting?
New witness on stand - Police Officer - Sanford Police Department
