Are these evils not displayed on the internet???? There isn't a ban because of a tuner ... or a receiver that receives television frequencies ...

the purpose of the ban is because what it displays THESE EVILS ... yet the logic doesn't apply to a tv type program transmitted on a DVD player or a computer...????

and yet ... ministers can send their young people to SIX FLAGS ... and this is not a blatant violation????
Somewhere along the line, everything got blurred and the focus went to the TV set itself. The battle line is now TV set or no TV set. It's NOT what's on TV vs. what's on the internet, radio, etc.

Is it not a worldly amusement?

Would a zoo be a worldly amusement?
Trip to the Smokeys a worldly amusement?
Boating on the lake or river a worldly amusement?
Watching a parade a worldy amusement?

So to me it is not defined and must be defined by the ministry.

Exactly ... the holiness statement that ministers need to affirm needs to be re-worked and clarified.

Yet ministers are mandated to sign a document and affirm a clause that is vague and inconsistent.

Look, there are ways to answer the tv question honestly.

For instance, what if the preachers wife owns the home where the tv is?
What if she owns a tv in his home?

The question is "do you have a television set in your home"?

A person could answer no and be within the confines of honesty. See, that's the trouble with rules - there are always loopholes.

Our application says do you WATCH television? That settles the issue.
