Re: Red Line in Syria Crossed!!!

Earlier this month the flavor of war was N. Korea. We were told a missile strike was imminent. We spent millions flying a B2 and B52 over to Guam to show our superiority. We sent a flotilla of ships over to the region to prepare for the possible invasion of S. Korea.

Then Li'l Kim went silent. He did what he wanted to do. He showed his country of communist robots that he was a man; that he wasn't afraid of Uncle Sam.

No missile strikes. No invasion. Nothing. Just a bunch of hot air.

So now that Li'l Kim didn't follow through and act on his threats, McCain and the other warmongers in the Senate needed a new bad guy.

Enter stage left - Syria! In a world where everything is tweeted, posted to facebook, or uploaded to youtube, one would think you would see the alleged sarin gas attack or at least the aftermath. Yet, with all the reporters covering syria, and all the social media, we have nothing.

Or at least nothing is being shown here in the US.

Yet I'm supposed to believe McCain's claim that we have to strike Syria for the alleged sarin attack? Color me skeptical, but until I see posts from Reuters, AP, Red Cross, some organization...I'm not believing a word of it. And those three orgs mentioned have, in the past, posted doctored photos of alleged war crimes by the US and Israel. Yet none of them are even pushing doctored photos.

Watch out Eritrea, you could be next on the list if this Syria thing doesn't escalate into a full-fledged conflict!

Re: Red Line in Syria Crossed!!!

Who used Sarin Gas? McCain and others say it was the soldiers of President Bashar al-Assad; but now several news outlets are saying the UN has testimony from people that the REBELS are the ones who used the gas.

I said it previously in a thread somewhere, that I agree with the Obama admin not to attack Syria, and to continue investigating the alleged use of sarin gas. And I agree with the unnamed WH official who stated:

Quote:
"How can we attack another country unless it’s in self-defense and with no Security Council resolution?” “If he drops sarin on his own people, what’s that got to do with us?”
My sentiment exactly.

Military industrial complex? Bob Marley avatar? Did you just wake up from an acid trip and still think this is the 1980's? No one says military industrial complex anymore. Good grief.

Re: Red Line in Syria Crossed!!!

The same thing that happened in Egypt
is going to happen in Syria.

The are getting rid of a dictator and
getting a radical muslim extremist
government to take the dictator's place....

It's only getting worse in the end.
The west should stop supporting either one
of them, because in the end they all turn against the west.

Let them mind their own business and don't
waste lives and money on it.

The conflict in Syria is actually much more complicated
than most pundits bother to understand.
Unfortunately the rebels who are fighting against Assad
are extremely dangerous, support terrorism and would like to destroy Israel.

I'm sure Israel knows how to deal with it.
