I hated passing that place when I was a kid.

Duck Dynasty: The Pro-God, Guns, Family and Capitalism Reality Show Rules the Ratings Roost

Yep, last Wednesday a whopping 11.8 million people
rocked up to see what was going down in the bayou at the Robertson’s household.

Indeed, without a sex tape; without shoving transvestites down our throats; without lauding rank, familial dysfunctionalism; or parading feral children of the corn, or mocking God, or having sex on camera for their grandparents to see, or selling moonshine, or being naked and afraid, or having their children yell, “F--- you!” at their parents during church, America has voted with their time and with their cash that they would rather watch the Duck Commanders move through their day than watch the cultural chum slick that Hollywood dishes up, ad nauseum, et infinitum.

Re: Anybody watching Duck Dynasty?

Uncle Si is my favorite character (Jeff's, too), but I am fascinated by Phil's unabashed flirtiness and interest in "Miss Kay." They seem to have a great relationship. I love that they're in their 60's (I think?!) and still flirt with one another. Some of Phil's comments on their relationship:

"Whatever makes Miss Kay happy, makes me happy."
"Whatever Miss Kay wants, Miss Kay gets."
""Whether you're talking about bees, dogs, or women, pain can come upon you quickly from either one of em."

This one really cracked me up:

"Women are like Labrador Retrievers, you know they all have quirks, you stay married to one for 45 or 50 years you learn to go with the quirks."

LOL!

Just yesterday my husband was saying, "It's not ALL about you."

I smiled and said, "Think about it. It IS all about me."

Re: Anybody watching Duck Dynasty?

My private duty job watches this any time it's on. Not bad to do for the dollar amount per hour I get.lol....love these guys. Just an ups....this is not typical Louisiana. These reality shows play up and hype up. We don't do all that fun and exciting stuff. We have to work to pay the air condition bills and high flood insurance rates.lol.
