If one Apostolic preacher feels judged by another Apostolic preacher, then who is right?
I made a typo in my post some allow the use of wedding bands because they do serve a function and are not purely just ornamental.

I know an evangelist who flew in to a city (somewhere between the pacific and atlantic) to preach a series of revival services. The pastor met him at the airport, greeted him, noticed this evangelist was wearing a wedding ring, turned around and put him on a flight out of town. Refused to let the evangelist preach, even though the evangelist offered to remove the ring and keep it off during the time he was there.

That's just ridiculous.

It's a personal standard, not a Biblical standard. I hate it when people try to push their personal standards on everyone.

Ive said this before but none other than Elder Treece teaches that wedding rings are not only allowable but PREFERED.

I do not wear so much as a watch. period.

my wife does now wear a wedding ring. we grew up in a church that allowed it going way back. when we got married, I was working in a church that did not. thus we did not have rings in the ceremony nor did we buy any.

Then when we moved to Dallas, my pastor at the time approached me and told me to buy my wife a ring. he explained that it was a protection for her against other men's flirtations. and as we were obediant to my former pastor in not buying rings, we were once again and we bought her a nice though not over the top, ring which she wears.

If a woman wants to flirt, a wedding band is not going to stop her nor is it going to protect her if someone wants to flirt with her. Sorry, but I personally could never see the logic there. A person knows whether a woman or man is married (and not looking) by the actions, not the wedding band. I respect your beliefs but for me I don't see that a wedding band has any significance as far as to flirt or receive flirtations.

Coming from one who categorizes a man of God with fornicators and adulterers, really disturbs me. Brother, I love and appreciate you, but there are some things about you that are disturbing when it comes to unity and compassion. If you would take the time to expound at least on some things like this thread, and not make such judgmental statements, it would be easier for me to accept your brassiness!

Ask GB about me. He know me pretty well.

I am not interested in unity with those who don't believe the message. I am compassionate and love the lost, but I love them enough to tell them the truth.

Is sin not sin whether it be jewelry or lying or stealing or fornication? Sin is sin.
