Re: Older than dirt

I'm glad it made you laugh. I bet I am older than you are. I've learned to accept my age and hope that I will grow old enough to see my boy graduate professional school, get married and maybe hold my grandkids when they get here.

I remember that one. And Andy Divine, and Sergeant Preston of the Yukon, and Ma and Pa Kettle movies. And they don't make cartoons like they used to!

AreYouReady, your vocabulary is also dating you. "Skint?" oh yea, I remember that one.

Re: Older than dirt

This is funny. Last night we were at the doctors office. My 7 year old broke his arm on the first day of second grade!

so the guy is putting the cast on and tells him to stick is thumb up. I told him "like the Fonz". The kid just looked at me like I was talking greek. LOL. he has no clue.

The tech and I are about the same age and he laughed and said "typical response... the Fonze is to these guys what Howdy Doody was to us!"

I remember I had heard of Howdy Doody but I never saw it! LOL. That is what the Fonz now is to my kid.

It seems that there is "old" (what my kids call me) and really old....

the wierd thing is that "really old" is getting younger with every passing year! LOL

The Lone Ranger

Bobby Benson and the BRB Riders
Straight Arrow
Tom Mix
The Cisco Kid
probably more that I can't remember

I remember having a Straight Arrow ring, actually a couple of them. Wish I could find them now.
