Written by a Chicago Tribune writer, a liberal leaning newspaper in Obama's hometown, whose editorial board endorsed Obama in 2008. Not exactly a right wing hack writing a hit piece.
You miss the whole point of the article. Obama makes the broad characterization that business owners think they are so smart because they built a business, but couldn't have done it without the government. And this man's first hand account of a successful business was that government did nothing but make life difficult for them. They weren't a help, they were a hinderance. And that government is by it's nature bent toward corruption because they rely on the productivity of others to exist. So there is a sense of entitlement to career politicians and bureaucrats.
And if Obama's foot fits the shoe, it ain't my fault, nor the writer's fault. He revealed his philosophy that the rich should "share the wealth" with everyone else. That's communism/socialism plain and simple. And it's the reason this recession has lasted this long. Socialism doesn't work! I don't know why it's so difficult to understand when you look at it's history and you look at Europe and you look at our current national debt and deficit.
But head in the sand, blind voting Democrats will continue to vote the party line because you've been brainwashed with all of the stupid arguments liberals make in order to convince Americans to vote for them.
"Hopium" is what Mr. Kass called it in his article and I love it! Perfect metaphor for what liberals promise---and what their voters embrace: a quick high followed by a big crash followed by a lifetime of addiction to failed economic philosophies and silly utopian pipe dreams.
Obama is going to get beat in November...and it's going to be huge, the White House, the House of Reps and the Senate. It will be historic. And you and Obama supporters wont wise up. Y'all will claim racism, voter fraud, Romney had the rich backing him, etc, you know the usual excuses. And what's sad is y'all will continue to believe the lies...
