Re: Favorite Songs?
WHAT A DAY THAT WILL BE
There is coming a day,
When no heart aches shall come,
No more clouds in the sky,
No more tears to dim the eye,
All is peace forever more,
On that happy golden shore,
What a day, glorious day that will be.
What a day that will be,
When my Jesus I shall see,
And I look upon His face,
The One who saved me by His grace;
When He takes me by the hand,
And leads me through the Promised Land,
What a day, glorious day that will be.
There'll be no sorrow there,
No more burdens to bear,
No more sickness, no pain,
No more parting over there;
And forever I will be,
With the One who died for me,
What a day, glorious day that will be.
What a day that will be,
When my Jesus I shall see,
And I look upon His face,
The One who saved me by His grace;
When He takes me by the hand,
And leads me through the Promised Land,
What a day, glorious day that will be

Re: Favorite Songs?
I would like this song sang at my funeral.
Heaven's Jubilee
Some glad morning we shall see, Jesus in the air
Coming after you and me, joy is ours to share
What rejoicing there will be, when the saints shall rise
Headed for that jubilee, yonder in the skies
Chorus
Oh what singing, oh what shouting
On that happy morning when we all shall rise
Oh what glory, Hallelujah
When we meet our blessed Savior in the skies
Seems that now I almost see, all the sainted dead
Rising for that jubilee, that is just ahead
In the twinkling of an eye, changed with them to be
All the living saints to fly, to that jubilee.
Chorus
Oh what singing, oh what shouting
On that happy morning when we all shall rise
Oh what glory, Hallelujah
When we meet our blessed Savior in the skies
When with all that heavenly host, we begin to sing
Singing in the Holy Ghost, how the heavens will ring
Millions there will join the song, with them we shall be
Praising Christ through ages long, heaven's jubilee.
Chorus
Oh what singing, oh what shouting
On that happy morning when we all shall rise
Oh what glory, Hallelujah
When we meet our blessed Savior in the skies

I do not know if I cited this one yet, but if I did not it was a bad showing on my part. I love this song, and I never get tired of it. Whenever I am singing this, I sing the lines in the chours that are under yours.
What a of singing, what a day of shouting
when we all shall gladly rise
Oh what glory, glory hallelujah
Yonder in the skies
Those are the words that I sing, (Southern Gospel style)

Yes, I like that one too. Bro. Don Johnson had a voice that could move and minister just while he was singing. Not too many people can do that. We attended his church for a while, and other big name singers would come and sing but Bro. Don would get up and in dismissal sing a song, and move the place into a true spirit of worship, like no one else could.

Re: Favorite Songs?
Anyone remember this one? If you know who sings it let me know.
Caleb walked up to Joshua
He said "It's been a long time.
I made it back
I want my mountain
Just as far now as it was back then"
Thas all I remember.
