and 1 Thessalonians 5:21 - Test everything. Hold on to the good.

Do not think that every time you have an epiphany that it is the voice of God. Test the Spirit and the Voice. Does it confirm with the Word of God?

I agree with testing. I do not agree with interrogating the way I define the word. Which is why I'm asking him to define it.

One other time I strongly remember, I was reaching for the salt in the cupboard and the thought came to me very strong, "You are leaving this place.". The next day our landlord came by and told me we had 30 days to move out of our house, that he was selling it.

Just stuff like that. Gotta run - it's time to cook dinner - Chicken Fried Steak, Mashed Potatoes and gravy and a salad.

Later, Gator!
I have this stuff happen ALL the time - it's freaky to me... I rarely if ever contribute it to the voice of God though...

I doubt I'll ever become Mennonite, but I was moved by their service. So...ha, indescribable; simple. Honest. Homey. The Spirit moves you, and you stand up and talk. The Living Harvest church is more conventional to your UPC, but homier, big Sunday dinner after church; everyone believes a bit different, also powerful. Strong love in both, and if you don't have love...you're in my prayers.
Can't find any info. on The Living Harvest Church... got a link?

Um, "test" then, ok; but seek alternate translations for...lol, every scripture you've ever read. I am now uncomfortable with my understanding of a verse until I have read multiple translations, random example for "knowledge"
http://bible.cc/2_chronicles/1-12.htm
Further illumination in more "exotic" translations. You have to submit that the KJV was at least influenced, and other influences may balance it. Personally, I'm getting even more from "lexicon," http://biblelexicon.org/2_chronicles/1-12.htm (whoa, and I'm now actually sucked in to this...random page for the next..?)

What?

You said you interrogate spirits. I want to know what you mean. If test is a better way to say what you mean, I'm still curious what you mean by that. Especially since you first used the word interrogate.

Well, in the sense that I get strong impressions and lo and behold, they seem to come true, yes it happens to me as well. But then I wonder why God would only "tell" me something that I had no control over in the first place? I will be impressed if God ever tells me to go to a specific place at a specific time and find out it was for a reason, or even more impressive, gives me an actual physical address (that I have no idea where it is until I put it in the GPS).

I MAY think God is telling me something about that place if that were to happen.
