I don't know if I agree with you. It does seem that the Music Department attracts a certain ilk--more often than other departments, anyway.
The most masculine women I've seen in the church are usually the ones that want to preach. That doesn't mean that all women preachers are lesbians or butch--obviously. It does seem that the position of authority attracts masculine women. Sometimes.  *NOT* shooting at anyone in particular. Maybe simply being in a position of authority creates the perception. I'm not sure.
