Re: Tell us about your husband...

Fifty two years with this sweet man has convinced me that I could never love
another like him. We just enjoy being together.
We enjoy our 6 adult children,(three of each), and their original spouses. Our
21 grandchildren, ages 1 yr to 28 yrs. The 28 yr old and his wife gave us our
first great-grandchild. The blessings of the LORD maketh rich!

We went there for our anniversary a few years ago. Very nice!

My husband is awesome. Very generous, considerate, dependable, romantic, thoughtful. Just all around great.

One of our favorite places is called the Copper Pot.
The Melting Pot is the only restaurant I have ever walked into, looked at the menu and turned around and walked back out. I guess I'm just a cheapskate. I could not justify spending that much money for a single meal no matter how hard I tried. I did sound good. But nothing is THAT good.

I have done that many times - but not just based on price. I will step in and ask to see a menu or look at a buffet to help make up my mind...

I checked out the Melting Pot website and pricing. It's quite pricey, but without wine a couple could get by for around a hundred $. I don't mind doing that once a year or so.

I'm sorry. Did not mean to sound like a huge spender... we are frugal in many ways too. Certainly, I would view it as something more of an evening experience rather than just food.

That is why you go every year or so, and splurging on a VERY good dining experience does wonders for the romance.
Unlike most restaurants, the typical meal there will take 2+ hours.

Re: Tell us about your husband...

In June we celebrated 42 yrs together.
He's great, just last week he brought me a bouquet of flowers -----for no reason, just that he loves me. He's more romantic than I am.
