I'm sincerely sorry that I judged you wrongly. Please forgive me.
I have experienced all of the same (that you've written). Unfortunately, some of the abuse happened to me before I even realized it was abuse. FORTUNATELY, Jesus brought me through and out! I did not "choose" to be abused - ever.

So anything bad that anyone has ever done to you was your own fault? I'm sorry, but this is the same mentality that abused women have... "He wouldn't beat me if I hadn't done something wrong."
I find this attitude disturbing.

I'm not sure that spiritual abuse is a choice always. And I'm not sure what you're meaning exactly when you say that you choose to not give satan credit for spiritual damage.
Could you explain that a bit?

Okay, let me say it once again. I am not denying abuse, I'm saying that no one has to allow it to penetrate thier spirit. God gave us the ability to overcome and rise above it.

A person can also choose not to give power to these so-called spiritual abusers.

Yes, people have the choice to either be victims or victors!

Not always, Chan. But they do have a choice whether or not to REMAIN a victim or to BECOME a victor!

Yes, always (by the way, we're talking about so-called "spiritual abuse"): one does not have to allow the supposed abuser's actions to have a negative impact. We have the Holy Ghost dwelling within us and, thus, have the obligation to turn to Him when someone says or does something that some might define as "spiritual abuse" (I'm still not convinced there is such a thing as spiritual abuse but, at least in this response, I'm just assuming for the moment that there is such a thing). After all, Peter told us to cast all our anxieties on Jesus because Jesus cares for us. Isaiah said that God would keep in perfect peace those whose minds are fixed on Him. Then, of course, there's Paul's whole thing about dying daily.
