Re: Standing on the Pulpit.........

A pulpit was never used in bible days. I use one, but there is nothing to disrespect anyway. Like another said, it may be weird, but disrespectful?

It's like someone who called the pulpit the "sacred desk". What?

Don't get me wrong, I consider myself a exciting minister..... But personally
I've never done such a thing......... I believe it's a respect thing!!!

I've never been a senior pastor, but I cringed everytime someone did it
at my old church...........

So what do you guys think????????????
Shock jock preaching. When grace and anointing are lacking preachers need to move into being performers and entertainers.

He wouldn't move past that part of the song until he got a big enough reaction from the crowd. I could never help but have flashbacks to that concert while I was sitting in a Pentecostal meeting and the preacher started acting the same way.

Exactly, its an act. Some folks got the church confused with the WWE.

OK, right Apples to Apples.

Your point would be valid only if the preacher doing the professional wrestling like antics proclaimed "the Word of the Lord came to me saying "Stand thou upon the pulpit."

I have seen a preacher stand on top of the pulpit, and I thought it was lame. I wonder has anyone seen a preacher fall off while standing on a pulpit?
