The Bible .... last time I checked is the world's #1 bestseller .... talk about a public audience.

I guess TRUTH only matters when the right "committee- approved" people are telling it ...

You can stand behind the code of silence ... and not address the issue ... or stand on the side of Truth.
Dan,

I love you man but you could and I think you would argue with a fence post!

That said, based on the input at at Lois site, Paul and Jesus both would have been vilified and torn to shreds as abusers... especially Paul.. he, from a position of power and authority, publicly exposed Demas to the congregation of believers.. oh my abuse, abuse!

Demas would have been a regular poster at the site if he had lived in the internet generation!

Are you going to continue to defend .... those few who have used their pulpits and positions... to steal, rape, molest, destroy, harass ?.... simply because they should not be held accountable by victims of these heinous acts.....

Yes sir, I have. However it has been some time ago. I met some very sincere and wounded people out there. I also encountered some whose only intent was to destroy ALL ministry and faith.

Ron, I am not saying that there is no spiritual abuse going on out there. Certainly there is.. in all brands of religion and faith... even in Apostolic Pentecostal churches. I was simply pointing out 1) the flaw in Dan's use of Paul and Jesus as his examples FOR Lois site and 2) to express my OPINION that a web site might not be the best place for dealing with issues such as spiritual abuse.

Dude this is a really stupid statement! I am certain that there is not one of us here that would defend the kinds of actions you describe. First off should the authorities be notified if anyone steals, rapes, molests or destroys? Secondly should the Church Board and District Board be notified of such actions by a Pastor?

Shouldn't there be credible evidence brought forward?

Really ... I see no flaws ... only examples of times when truth exposed sin .....

Many of these victims have tried the proper channels to no avail ... should they stay quiet ... should they not tell their stories .... should they remain bitter

I'm not Dan - But the answer to the first question is yes. And the answer to the second is only after the proper authorities have been contacted.

Stealing, raping, molesting, and destroying have been redefined.

They tend to mean "preach standards" in spiritual abuse jargon.

Stupid???

Bro ... many of these men are reported to the higher authorities ... and 9/10 it's the victims that are then labeled as the TROUBLE MAKERS ...
