There's only two things right now that gives you the safety to make it to church
1. God
2. law Enforcement

Try living without them and see what it's like. You should be careful not to put everyone on the same guillotine.

Sorry, Austin, but when law enforcement encourages, using fear tactics, to manipulate the private sector into getting rid of their guns, we have a huge problem.

I hope and pray it never happens. Ask the communist nations that lost their guns and then next their rights.

I think the bad guys should "be afraid" about breaking into our homes in the first place.

Man... $110 a pop... that's a great price.
I was thinking the same thing. It's actually a money maker. You'll get some worn and run down models, but on the average, the guns will be worth more than $110.

Why doesn't the P.D. just tell people to sell their guns "on the street" or to the drug cartels? That would get the guns out of people's houses so that burglars won't be able to get them (the stated goal of the program) while also putting some real spending money into the pockets of Austin area consumers.

The people that were buying guns at this event looked the guns over and made sure they were operational. If the guns were in good enough shape they sent them on in to the police station to get their $100 food card. They didn't pay money for sub par guns.

Pretty good deal. I really am thinking about this.

The main thing you have to watch for is this. You can't sell the gun for profit. That would require a gun dealers license.
