Okay - guys I'm not signing in as Admin, but I'm posting as Admin.

STOP THIS!

coadie and DA are working toward a vacation if you keep this up. You've already been warned in another thread and now it's getting ugly again.

Re: Charismatic Bishop In Lawsuit.

Also, don't use the term "short bus" because that might hurt someone, but it's okay to make fun of LARGE people.

You guys are something else.

Big word alert. I don't know what that expression means either.
There have been new vocabulary words on this thread.

Whoa, time out!

I'm the one that has talked a lot about the "Short bus". I laughed at what DA posted. What I saw was a guy lazily sitting and in blanket fooling with a computer. The screen I'm on is not that large and I have the brightness down as low as it will go to conserve battery life. I didn't see a large person, just a guy with seemingly nothing to do, sitting at a computer.

I had said, "I'll bet this is where Coadie's laughing at me" because sometimes I think he's actually just playing with us and then high-fiving his buddies when we get upset. Then DA posted the picture.

IN ABSOLUTELY NO WAY WHATSOEVER was I laughing at obesity. I NEVER have and I NEVER would. EVER.

First, you don't know that they're "Victims." Second, they're making accusations that would GREATLY alter the composition of many lives, thousands of lives. Tens of thousands, actually. If something is said that would make a catastrophic upheaval in that many lives, I'm going to wait and see. I don't believe them or disbelieve them. But the principle I'm operating on is one of our basic American rights that you would request if you were accused, that we are all innocent until we're proven otherwise.
Mr. Smith, I won't even pretend I read all of this thread, but are you going to bat for Long's innocence? Not rushing to judgement? I'm proud of you. At least that's consistent on your part. And especially proud considering he's quite the charismatic.

Here's where I have a hard time: I've witnessed churches dealing with molestation issues. The victim is rarely believed. By the time they "come forward" they've already acted out in strange ways that ironically diminish their credibility. Cases of sexual abuse are often in situations where the victims know and trust the perpetrator the most.

If this is true, it's extremely sad an unfortunate. And comparing yourself to David & Goliath is somewhat silly.

I don't look at overweight people as "Fat People"....just people. I honestly didn't think that was the point of the picture. If I'm not believed, then oh well. I can't change that. But it's the truth. Before God, with a hand raised in the air and the other one on the bible, staking my eternal soul on it, that's the truth.

The David & Goliath comparison was a play to his audience. He is a VERY emotional and stirring speaker and they love him for it. He was playing to his audience.

You make a valid point about believing the alleged "Victims". But there are also many who portray themselves as victims who are actually seeking revenge for something. I just don't believe any of us should ever make a rush to judgment, especially when SO much is at stake.

I think we can be sure that the truth will come out. If Eddie Long did the things of which he is accused, there is WAY too long a paper trail to cover it all up. So I think we can all sit back, rest easily, and know that the truth will come out.

There's also the possibility of an out-of-court settlement. I hope that doesn't happen.

I'm as anti-charismatic, anti-TBN as it gets. But I saw Long do something once in a message which led to me watching him occasionally. I like his style. It's certainly not my style but I like his speaking style.
