He was pandering to his Muslim guests at his Muslim religious event to give them the feeling or impression that he was indeed one of them (my opinion)

Re: Obama For Mosque at Ground Zero
Now get this.
The White house sent an internal memo. They request it not be referred to as The Ground Zero Mosque.
All speech except that which disparages Christians has to be politically correct.
Of course we don't see a connection between Ground Zero and any synagogue folks.
If the Mosque was at Disneyland, yes I would call it the Mickey Mosque.

Probably.
In the backdrop of people wailing and crying foul before knowing any details, America's Islamaphobia was probably even embarrassing. FTR, his comments were specific to their Constitutional right in our nation.

10 cent psych labels?
When pretend conservatives start adopting leftie labels it shows.
Phobias are grouped under anxiety disorders.
It is obvious when men adopt the worlds viewpoints. It grieved Rebecca when Esau married a non Israelite. That fits under your label Islamophobia.
Christians learn separation.
Please study the bible and you will find religion, the economy and the military are all comingled and attached untill America came along. Most Americans do not know Muslims well enough to understand the Koran is a religious, legal and military document. When God had King Saul told to destroy the Amelekites, it was because they were both military and religious adversaries.
God wasn't playing pretend tolerance and allow them to keep their "groves, false gods and get along.
So when did "Islamophobia" end in the bible or in post biblical history for the seed and offspring of Abraham?

What's sad is you've forgotten Jesus doesn't have American blood. What's sad is you just tied a political cause in one breath with a Kingdom one. They are one world for you. That's scary. Very scary. Americans have separated their military, religion and civic life? Seriously? That couldn't be farther from the truth.
You are all over the map theologically -- using OT examples for slaughter of foreign nations to an excuse for Americans to do the same??????
There's too much to correct with you, just all over the map. Sadly, probably dozens here agree with you. You grieve me. Seriously. It was first anger, now it's grief. Thick-headed ignorance, the cross with an American flag draped over it... yeah, good ol' Mt 5-7 and loving your enemies.
BTW, Islamaphobia is real, whether you want to write pyschology off or not. It's as real as xenophobia, which you seem to exhibit plenty of.
Your hate-filled, racist diatribe smells like the ........ that it is.

Hey Coadie, Abram wasn't fearful of people of other faiths (by the way Ding Dong, there was no Islam at the time of Abraham, 1-800-GETACLUE). Abram was living in a time when God told them not to marry with people that weren't of faith. We are also talking about a time when God's method of reaching the world was going to flow through a geo-national-political Kingdom: Israel. This is no longer the case. The Kingdom of God is every race, nationality, region, background, social status, gender, all of it!! And the responsibility to those who DON'T believe is even higher. We LOVE them. We are mini-Jesus' to them!
You sir should know better.

Ding Dong, not according to Islam. Prophet Muhammed merely re-established God's truth that was lost over time and distorted by Jews and Christians...well at least according to some Muslims.
And actually we are not "mini Jesus to them". They abhore the biblical idea of Jesus. To them Jesus did NOT die on the cross and was NOT the Son of God.
Thankfully though Islam is sorely divided and not all Muslims approve of 9/11. Sadly though those voices seem to be smaller compared to the "minority".
Anyways, back to Abraham
However, many if not most of the followers of Islam believe that:
Islam existed before Muhammad (pbuh) was born, The origins of Islam date back to the creation of the world, and Muhammad (pbuh) was the last and by far the greatest of a series of Prophets.http://www.religioustolerance.org/isl_intr.htm
By 750 CE, Islam had invaded China, India, along the Southern shore of the Mediterranean and into Spain. By 1550 they had besieged Vienna. Wars resulted, expelling Muslims from Spain and Europe. Since their trading routes were mostly over land, they did not an develop extensive sea trade (as for example the English and Spaniards). As a result, the old world occupation of North America was left to Christians.
Believers are currently concentrated from the West coast of Africa to the Philippines. In Africa, in particular, they are increasing in numbers, largely at the expense of Christianity.
Many do not look upon Islam as a new religion. They feel that it is in reality the faith taught by the ancient Prophets, Abraham, David, Moses and Jesus (Peace be upon them). Muhammad's (pbuh) role as the last of the Prophets was to formalize and clarify the faith and to purify it by removing foreign ideas that had been added in error.

- That Jesus name baptism is the only biblical mode of water baptism.
- That the Holy Ghost is for today and is received by faith with the initial evidence of speaking in tongues.

Point-being, you can't infer "Islamaphobia" in a context when there was no Islam (which was not established until the 6th Century?) It doesn't matter if they connect their history back to Adam, they weren't around. If I formed a religion tomorrow called Socialitism (has a ring to it), my starting point was today -- even if I claimed history. Prior to my claim, there was no Socialitism. No one 50 years ago will no what Socialitism is. Second point, taking the Geo-National Israel and comparing to the United States is sickening -- and mostly because in some people's eschatology, they preach this nonsense.
We are mini-Jesus to everyone, including our enemies. Have you forgotten what "love your enemies" means? What does it mean to you? What a swipe to all those missionaries in the mission field of Muslim-dominated countries. Good thing they don't approach everyone as an enemy and spit on each other.
