This is an excerpt fro Bro. Haywood's book on the resurrection of the dead:

The Second Resurrection.
According to the inspired word of God the resurrection of the
"blessed and Holy" is completed a thousand years before the second
resurrection. It is from this point that we are obliged to note the
difference between partakers of the two resurrections.

After the thousand years expire "the rest of the dead" (those who
did not come forth in the first resurrection) both righteous and
wicked, live again and are made to stand before God. It is then that
Jesus separates them as a shepherd divideth the sheep from the goat
according to Matt. 25:31-46.

In this resurrection is included all the righteous men of all
ages who walked in all the light that they were given. It is my candid
opinion that all heathen, Israelites, Christian professors who have
never heard the true gospel of Christ and those who die during
the millennium, walking in the light of their times will be given
eternal life at the last resurrection.

Many righteous people have died without the Holy Ghost and
the question has been asked: "Where will they come in?" They shall be
given eternal life in the last day. They shall inherit the New
Earth where life eternal reigns because "there shall be no more death.

So are you saying, and are they saying, that there will be a place for those who are not followers of Christ, but how have done good works? Bottom line it for me.

Mr. Smith, I hope everyone makes it.

I don't believe it to be the case though. Universalism doesn't quite fit for me. And Jesus is till the ONLY Way in. My entire theology rests in Jesus being the Way.

I guess we can speculate.

I believe Jesus Christ is the way and I'm betting my life on it. Period. But there's no way in this world I'm going to proclaim that there's no way God could have a plan that somehow I'm not aware of. I know this...if there are others in heaven and Billy Graham is correct, that God will honor those who follow the light they see, I will not be upset.

That teaching is that Acts 2:38 is necessary to get into the Church/Body of Christ and be in the rapture. But, there are good people, good Christians, some of them even baptized in the Spirit, who have not heard Acts 2:38 or who heard it but did not recognize it as truth, or who have served God during the last couple thousand years before Acts 2:38 salvation was revealed in 1914. These folks are considered "righteous" and will be judged at the Great White Throne Judgment or second resurrection spoken of in Revelation 20:11-15 and Matthew 25:31-46. These folks don't work their way into heaven or are not saved by works. They were not really "saved" in the first place but they believed in Jesus and walked in all the light they had. Some also include heathen among them and children who died without getting saved. Some people also call this the Light Doctrine

So Sam, if these people don't get into heaven, where do they get into, a spot in hell that has AC, or purgatory or what?

Bishop Haywood and S.G. Norris taught that the righteous went to the New Earth "wherein dwelleth righteousnses" 2 Peter 3:13, Isaiah 66:22

F.E. Curts, Bible teacher and Supt. of the Ohio UPC district, taught that the "holy" (church) and the "righteous" (folks who walked in all the light they had) went to Heaven

It is my understanding that there will be lots of people in Heaven who were never part of the New Testament Church. These would be folks from the Old Testament, people who died before reaching the "age of accountability," people who walked with God in all the light they had, etc.

It's probably not funny, but all these different viewpoints are hilarious to me. I think where we end up is, God will decide. Joel Osteen was right. Imagine that.
