JA, I know your beef isn't with me, nor do I have beef with you. I don't have beef with anyone on AMF as an individual, but I was so underwhelmed with the conduct of the men their especially in reference to anyone who they thought were lost, that I cannot help but call them on it. One things for certain, their too busy slapping each other on the back, and seemingly high fiving over someone being lost, to actually consider their attitude towards those people.

RKS, SH, RW, SE, and others really ought to consider their attitude towards those who don't fit their mold. Say what you will, there is an awful lot of bashing going on, and I don't believe thats the conduct that Jesus expects out of his servants.

We should look at the sinner and say to ourselves "Except for the grace of God, there go I." But I guess when your legalistic, God's grace gets lost in the fray, and people begin to think they are earning their salvation.

Yea, I do that when I'm in venues where people backbite, gossip, lie and hurt each other. Just get about as involved as I feel I can.

Ok lets try this again lol.

The idea behind the desire for anonymity is the same.
You choose anonymity for the sake of free speech.

The mentality for the reason why is not.
Their mentality was one of hate and ignorance.
Your mentality may be to have the freedom to at times play devils advocate on hot button issues and not be labeled beyond the forum.

I already knew what probably happened when I read the first post.

Free speech and because of trust that hasn't been proven or earned.

Look at it this way... I went to the doctor. I thought he was a great doctor who exceeded all my expectations. I recommended for you to go see my doctor. You hated him, he did not meet your expectations.

Does this make him a bad doctor? I like him, you hate him. No. its simply based off of our expectations.

The same goes for how we all have our favorite preachers and ones we could do without.

With that it might be safe to say that AMF isn't as mean spirited as was told by the author of this thread.

Its the most self moderated balanced forum I have been apart of.
Grill me then.

I had an unfavorable experience on AMF. I chimed in with agreement for a question that one of the admins had posted concerning the historicity of the "full package Acts 2:38 church."

Immediately another admin jumped right in and called me out and said I was "on thin ice" for questioning that. You can probably find the thread there still. A couple other guys ridiculed me, but how was I supposed to respond since I couldn't even point out the truth to them?

I came away with a very sour taste from that experience. No "self moderating" appeared to be in existence at all. I was supposed to simply shut up and not say anything and accept what one guy read "in a dusty book store in California" once and what another guy said his grandma said one time.

I was history major in college. I can't accept that level of "discussion." And the attempts at bullying me were crass, to say the least.

Re: I was asked to leave AMF for Apostolic Ministr

It was after this that I "cross posted" a part of a discussion and found out quite suddenly that there's a "rule" against cross posting and I was banned. I had carefully read the rules when I joined. There wasn't any mention about cross posting at all, otherwise I would have refrained from doing it. It seemed to me that they had just made up this "rule" at that very moment and made it retroactive to my own actions.

The conduct struck me as immature and the backslapping seemed gratuitous.

AND... no one has yet been able to identify A SINGLE individual from about the year 200 - 1900 who believed the "whole package" Acts 2:38, message. Not one single human being in all of the 1,700 years!

And you expect people to never ask questions about this?
