I don't know that anyone has DEFINITEVELY been able to state that Luke was a Jew. He may very well have been. I've heard it put that the only possible exception to the NT being written completely by Jews was Luke's writings.

Well... some would say Paul was not a Apostle in the same sense as the twelve but a messenger. Revelations does not speak of more than 12.
The word usage of "apostle" varies. Luke who knows whether he was greek or a herodian jew or whatever.
