Let me add that I do not believe the Bible to be written by God, and therefore I tend to view many of it's commands as outdated cultural and historical mores.

I should also add as a disclaimer of sorts that I am of the personal opinion that sex outside of a monogamous committed relationship (not necessarily "marriage") is hollow and meaningless.

Mich are you now the AFF agnostic mascot? Don't believe the Bible is written by God, or inspired by God? Doesn't that make your opinion kind of meaningless? since this is a discussion amongst people who believe in the Word of God, and that it is actually God's word. Can other agnostics join this forum?

When I was still in the world I would be clicking the channels and come across the televangelists and thought they were a bunch of money grubbing jokers who needed to stop living off the Social Security checks of the elderly.
Years have gone by and these biscut eaters are finally getting their reward.

And a Theist also believes in a God, and does believe he is a personal and interactive God.

I claim all 3 of these, because I sometimes doubt that there even is a God, and I often doubt that if there is, it's possible to know anything about Him. Other times I am sure He exists, but feel he is very passive and doesn't really care about the trivial details of our lives.

But there are other days, when I believe He does exist, that He does care and He has some sort of plan.

Whether or not I think He exists, I almost always think of Him as Jesus, which I guess makes me a little tiny percentage oneness
