This is very accurate.
I must have missed the news where the Almighty stepped off His throne and turned it over to the hands of humanity.

Oh...He didn't do that?!

Glad to know it!!

Thrilled deep down in my inner beings to know that GOD, and GOD ALONE knows the heart and mind of man.

HE knows who is right with Him.

HE knows who will make it in the end.

HE will make the final call, not me...AND not anyone else.

As we have already learned by reading this thread, in particular Mr. Steinway's last post, those that others deem as not being Apostolic believe and obey Acts 2:38...so where is the riff?!

Because he and others are no longer on board the Mothership?! Hardly seems like evidence to me.

I heard something interesting yesterday regarding the political system...

Back in the day, even senators and congressman of differing views would refer to someone 'across the aisle' as, "My beloved colleague..." or "My friend from Virginia," or wherever.

There was a modicum respect, in the public eye at least...not so today.

Nothing is off limits when it comes to attacking a view...it becomes personal.

When I heard that, I thought about the Church...

Back in the day, brethren of differing views referred to each other as "My brother..."

There was love in the midst of difference, and in the eye of the public, there was respect.

O the tragedy, that we do not see this today.

Where is the love that was displayed in days gone by?!

It saddens me...

Good post! I guess that one is not Apostolic unless they are "tough" on their beliefs and are judgmental against other opinions. *sigh* One can't be Apostolic unless they believe they have achieved absolute truth and doctrinal perfection!

No, not your stance.

It was your overall lack of courtesy.

Or perhaps they are Apostolics who are not afraid to look at the Bible without preconceived ideas and spoon fed dogma, and actually search out their own salvation with fear and trembling; rather than operating on reacting to peer pressure and public opinion with fear and trembling...

I have been cured of believing anybody is Apostolic because they look a certain way or follow the party line, I have seen it proved to be false far too many times.

If you think an Apostolic forum is somewhere where everyone pats each other on the back and congratulates each other on how spiritual we are based on how much we trumpet dogma, well then you are correct. This is probably not what you are looking for.

The new testament in the four books of the gospel of Jesus Christ is where God steps off the throne and turns witnessing over to humanity...It's basically our Apostolic belief and this being an Apostolic forum I don't see the problem with Apostolic beliefs being told here. I haven't been on this site long but I'm not sure why Apostolic beliefs are being attacked by the majority... Discussion is not the issue....I did say attacked : )

I don't think I said anything about looking a certain way, back patting, or having a pity party about spirituality...I spoke directly on attacking the church on a church site. I'm Apostolic and not ashamed to say I am... Will everyone else proclaim their faith?
